The opening ceremony on 16 June will include the world premiere screening of the first episode of upcoming Amazon Prime Video series Harlan Coben’s Shelter, with the event kicked off with its traditional appearance by Prince Albert II. The news was announced by Laurent Puons, CEO and Cécile Menoni, executive director of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival yesterday, as they revealed details about the 2023 edition. Gordon, whose credits include 24, Homeland and The X Files, will be presented the accolade, awarded for contribution to the entertainment industry, but Princess Charlene of Monaco at the June event. US TV writer and producer Howard Gordon is to receive the Honorary Golden Nymph Award at this year’s Monte-Carlo Television Festival next month.
